On trips, computers, and the holidaze
I haven't posted in quite some time, but we're all running around like crazy due to the Holidaze, so oh well. :B
Very early tomorrow (Monday) morning I fly to visit my parents and sister in Texas. Wheee! Back in the land of football worship and cowboys. Joy? It will be nice to see friends and family IRL, so it won't be bad or anything. Just some culture shock!! Heh.
I am taking Usagi and Anthy with me, which means I will have internet and can do some work while I'm back in my parents' house. And this time, I will remember to take Anthy's stylus with me. *headdesk* Yes, it is sitting inside my suitcase as I type. :P~~~~
Speaking of work, at the moment I'm finishing up Natsume 3 and Naruto 48. The former is ahead of schedule, but I need to keep on Naruto to make sure I won't have to scramble after I return to OR.
I am very pleased to say that Utena2, the rebirth of my original fun computer Utena, who died a horrible death September '08, is up and running beautifully. I've started prelettering pages on her, and so far things are great. *knocks on wood* She's on my little network and everything. ^^V Yes, this means I have three computers running while I work. (If any of you know of a good Matrix-style screen saver, LMK.) XD
Pretty much everyone on my flist has shared their holiday's events, so now it's my turn. As I was still in OR on the actual 25th, I took it easy. I bought some pineapple fried rice on the 24th and stashed it in the fridge so I'd have delicious restaurant food on the day of, and it turned out delicious indeed! :9 I read 400 pages of One Piece (caught up through vol 22 today!), did 10 pages of Naruto at a relaxed pace, watched the 2nd Bleach movie b/c it stars my beloved Hitsugaya-taichou, wrote a little on the comic, read some Girl Genius and my current Naruto fic epic, and traded well-wishes via txt messages with distant IRL friends all day long.
I felt invigorated the next day, which tells me I need to take lazy days off where I lounge around and don't do anything (except for some work, of course) more often. *sighs blissfully*
My alarm is set for 4:15 AM tomorrow, due to the joys of public transportation (but hey, it'll only cost me $6 round trip on the train, so I'm not complaining), and airport security clearance time. At least my flight leaves early enough I shouldn't have to wait through long lines at said security checkin. *knocks on wood*
I guess that's it for this post. I plan to post at least once from TX. I'll be keeping an eye on email and the flist.
Everyone have a Happy New Year!!! Kyaaa! XD
