Portland isn't as expensive a place to live as SanFran or NYC, but it's on its way. At my sad price range, houses are falling down and condos are small and in VERY high demand. About a third of the available condos are cash-only, which doesn't do me any good. Most of what's left are bank-owned and/or short sale, which can leave you in bank-waiting-limbo for up to two years. The sliver of condos that are left are the ones I can try for. And where this one falls. Here's hopin' this purchase goes forward!!
