slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (caffeine)

Much can be said for a day of rest...

As  Thanksgivings go, this one was towards the top of the list. A minimum of drama and fuss, and just enough time with my extended family to make me wish they maybe could have stayed longer. Even some snow outside. But the bad weather meant no one wanted to risk getting frozen in, so everyone left rather quickly. Ah well!

Last weekend for oneesan no koibito no tanjoubi, we went out for sushi. (White tuna = yum! Never thought I'd like sushi...) anyway, at the small restaurant I ordered a class of plum wine, and everyone tried it. They agreed it was rather good, even my father, who can't stand wine thanks to his alter boy days. I mentioned how I can never find plum wine to buy in stores. The reason I mention this is that yesterday my sister surprised me with a small bottle having to hide it from my uber-baptist grandmother ONOES alchohol!!!, which she had found at her local grocery store! Whoa! No, I haven't tried it yet. I was sorely tempted though. XD /randomness

I gave myself the day off from all of my titles, which I needed since Claymore 12 arrived on Wednesday. With 8 weeks for this volume, I was able to tweak my schedule so I only have to do three Clay pages a day until I finish New Title 2. Then I bump it up to four. What's really fortunate for me is that since this Clay volume is so action-light for Clay, I can leave all the  orange and pink pages until NT2 is complete. Then I can letter one a day as part of the four, and still finish in time to make my deadline. Ii na...

Even though I didn't have to letter anything, I can't stand being at home and not working on at least one page, so I decided to only letter orange and pink pages from NT2. I did the final four action pages from this 2nd to last section of NT2, leaving only sweet yellow and lovely green pages for the rest of this segment. YAY. On Utena I pre-lettered the remaining orange and pink pages from the final chapter of the book. Thankfully not too many, and I do believe they are easier than what I've already lettered in the earlier chapters. Except this last chapter's title page. *shudders*

After I finished pre-lettering, I decided I was in an appropriately writing mood, so I called up DaaGB to mess with in my spare processing/saving/printing moments. I read over what I've done of part 5 in the hopes I would be able to add to it. And I did!!! Once I finished that fourth difficult NT2 page, I decided work was done for the day and threw myself into fic. Next thing I know, the clock says it's 7:30 AM. O= But--and I say this with a huge grin on my face--the first draft of DaaGB 5 is done!!! Kyaaaaa! XD A few more read-throughs and tweakings are left, then I can ask Star-chan to beta it for me. Perhaps part 5 will be up around Christmas?? Maybe a little after??? It depends on how much polishing I decide it needs, and then of course when Star-chan has the time to beta, b/c college is more important. *nods* But the wonderful news is that the hard part, the first draft, is done! *runs in ecstatic circles* It's my longest DaaGB chapter yet at 3,000 words!

I really really want to finish DaaGB. I'm itching to work more on 1S2W (my ShinoHina fic), not to mention begin to seriously think about continuing IaaAYK and AtEoCT. With DaaGB complete, I won't have to feel guilty every time my mind begins to play with the possibilities...*has starry eyes*

I was worried that being so engrossed in writing and staying up so late (early?) would render me a zombie today, but I feel pretty alert for once. Sweet.

That's it for now, minna. Work calls!! Five titles at once is interesting, as you all know. But it's good to know that NT2 will be over and done when I finish the volume. Whew! Shigoto shigoto!! XD
