Oh yeah, I have a DA account...

Today I remembered I have a Deviant Art account, and decided I should prolly check it for messages or comments and all that, since DA doesn't sent out email notices when you receive a new one. (Or if they do send them out, I have yet to figure out how to turn them on. I have no clue how to use that site. It's embarrassing.)  Anyway, I was clicking around, laughing at my one lonely little posted bit of art, when I noticed in my  messages that three people I didn't know had favorited it. 8O

I'm very curious about who likes my stuff. Whenever one of my fics recieves a review, story alert, or a favorite, I immediately check out the profile of the person in question, glance over their own fics (if they have any), and riffle through their story favorites to see what else they like and if I'm in good company. I've found some excellent stories that way. ^^V So of couse, I click on each of my three unknown DA favoriters to learn about them. Like I said, I don't know how to use DA, but I mostly wanted to see what other kind of stuff they had favorited. And whoa! All three had lovely lovely pics chosen. I feel so gratified to see my little painting included among such shiny pieces of art. *tears of joy* What's really strange is of the three, only one had other TGQ fanart included. O.o I have no idea how the other two stumbled across my pic. TGQ is a very small fandom, and I don't have anything in the pic's title that could lure them in, except maybe "OT3".  But however they found my pic, I'm so glad they liked it enough to favorite. #^^#

Perhaps in the near future I will have a 2nd piece of new art to add to my DA account!! I finally heard from one of my friends, Rei-chan, about what she would like for her artwork request: a Tuxedo Kamen pic, anime-style!! ^^V I roughed out three very different ideas. First: a sexy Tuxy-sama closeup with bedroom eyes and showcasing a manly hand. Second:  an action scene with his shirt and cape ripped off gratuitously revealing half of his sleek back. And third: a relaxing moment with him leaning against a low stone wall, his hat, cape, and mask laying on the wall next to him, and unbuttoning his shirt with one hand revealing gratuitous chest baring. I sent the three roughs to her in email on Tues night, but haven't heard back yet.

I don't know which pic I'd like her to chose. I like all three of them. :3 I did tell her if none of them grabbed her, she can describe to me what she'd like to see in the way of posing and nudity. And if she can't decide and throws it back to me to choose, I'll likely post them here and ask you guys to vote.

Kiokonai has decided what she wants for her giftpic, though I she is still in the process of finding reference pics for me. She wants a lovely painting of her favorite goth-esque and visual-kei rockers. Heh! I'm not too clear who all will be included. Maybe her favorite member of Dir~end~Grey (I can't keep up, she tends to switch between them all), maybe her beloved Darren from System of the Down, maybe Gackt-sama, maybe hide from X Japan, maybe Rob Zombie, maybe the singer from Evanescence, who knows?? She did say there would be about 4 people. I must admit, I'm kind of excited. This one will definitely be a challenge! XD

For my own enjoyment, I also have a Death Note pic in the works, inspired by a fic written by stariceling. I started it last fall and have resumed working on it with fresh eyes. (Translation: I'm redrawing everything b/c I didn't like what I'd drawn before.) :P It's an L/Light pic, though it will be rated PG.

I still haven't solved my Jossed problem from the comedy doujinshi. Now that I have to rewrite the fight scene, I need to rework the beginning to set it up. I want Sasuke to be more in character than I had him, which means tweaking things from page one. I prolly should have made my first doujinshi a bit more simple. ^^;; But this one was only three pages when I first came up with the idea. :P I can't do it as a straight gag story, it has too much potential. >3>

And on the subject of fanart, I have a very short poll for you all, consisting of one question. LJ's poll wizzard hates me, so please comment with your response. T.T

1. When it comes to fanart, which type do you most prefer?

A) I want it resemble the original version as much as possible. Seriously, I want to have to check the artist's name to tell who did it.

B) I like the fanartist's personal style to show, though not too much. Half-their style, half the original's style. Give me a nice blend.

C) Let the fanartist have free rein! It's fine if I have to rely on hair color and clothing to tell who is who. As long as it's shiny, it's good!!

D)Fanart meh. I only like the creator's artwork, thankyewverrymuch. No matter how good the fake stuf is! :P~~~
