I will persevere!!!

Yes, it's Friday night (early Sat morning, if you want to get technical) and of course I'm working. Much and many ramblings, though not as much as I've done in the past.

I'm curious to see how I manage to swing five simultaneous titles. Clay, Nana, Skip, New, and Temp. All at once. Right now, I'm actively working on four--all but Temp--and I'm having to push to make my daily quota. I'm not too worried or stressed about it, though, b/c I know I have to make my deadlines. Being late isn't an option. Since I know this, I know I won't fail. I might have to live on 4 or 5 hours of sleep a day for several weeks, but I will do it b/c I have to. After all, if I don't, they'll find someone else who will. Rather potent knowledge, ne?

The easy part of Clay is over. Now I'm going back to the beginning of the vol and doing the FX. Yikes. Yesterday I burned through 4 pages from hell, and one yellow to get me back in the swing of things. (It always takes an FX or two for me to return to the mindset of Clay FXing.) I worked like mad yesterday, so of course today I'm proportionally blah. I won't manage 4 PFH today, but I'll do at least one. Thankfully vol9 has only 12 PFH, so it's been worse. This method--while faster in the long run for completely finishing the book--is much harder on me b/c all the easy pages are done. I have none left to balance out the difficult ones. Bleage. But I will persevere!!!

My brilliant choice of New Title has been revealed to be not-so-brilliant. >< I had the choice of either a drama or a fantasy adventure, so I chose the drama. After all, the adventure would be full of swordfights and things, right?? I have enough of those in Clay!! So with much contentment, I went for the drama. Heh. It's a comedic drama...with tons and tons of FX. Thus far, the backgrounds haven't been too bad, which is what makes Clay such a nightmare. I'll know if I shot myself in the foot when I see the fantasy adventure title and compare it to New title. If it has less FX....yeah. That will be a rather large oops on my part. :P But I will persevere!!!

The English is still on hold. I have lettering guide pages for the 2nd half, and script for the same, but no actual pages to letter. So I still haven't done anything beyond those first 5 pages from 2 weeks ago. The lettering guides show almost every page from this final English volume will be PFH. So when I finally have the files to letter, I will have six titles--if I have Temp title script by then. It boggles the mind--but I will persevere!!!

My Temp title editor is making me a bit nervous, though. He keeps mentioning how "the schedule is tight" and "he's asking for a lot", etc etc etc. As mentioned above, I'm not too worried or stressed about it because being upset is pointless, so why waste the energy, but he has me wondering if I'm missing something. I counted the days for the three volumes and extra chapter I'll be lettering, and it seems doable. So I will persevere!!!

Tomorrow or Sunday I'll be visiting Yuumei for a few hours. I'm looking forward to it. Not only b/c I haven't seen Yuumei since early December, but b/c I fully expect this will be the last time I will be able to leave my house and do something fun for the next several months. I will be making a point to tell Yuumei, Kiokonai, and Rei to all call me as often as they can stand, so I might have contact with the outside world. That goes for everyone here. Please email/comment me!! I'll probably be a crying mess by the time this is over, so I'll need all the human contact I can get.

But I will persevere!!
