Update x3!

I'm back in OR. It was great visiting home and seeing a good chunk of the extended family. Usagi survived the trip, thankfully! I was worried last night when walking back to my apartment through half-melted snow slush and ice, as the footing was VERY bad and I almost fell splat on the ground three times. That would not have been good. But I made it through the nasty with no mishaps. Yay!

Now! The good stuff. How about an impromptu update in general? Shigoto is first, since that's what most of you are really interested in:

Shigoto Update!

Captive Hearts: vol 4 is DONE. Kyaaa! And I'm already two pages into vol 5, which is the final book. My key sheet is far from being finished for the volume, but so far, vol 5 looks easier than vol 4. YAY. (4 was rather difficult.) Looks like there's another short story at the end of this vol. I don't mind them, as it's fun to see how mangaka started out. I also like doing the title pages. I can chose the font for the title and make it look at pretty. Some of these title pages are Pink, but it's fun to chose a font that matches and everything. :B I'm rather proud of the title page for "Spring Cherry Blossoms" at the end of Wanted, in particular. :D But back to Captive! SE4 wants this one faster than usual, but maybe I can get the usual 8 weeks I need for something as crazy as Captive. ^^;;; I'll have a better idea once I finish that key sheet. As of page 60, only 3 Pink pages so far. For Captive, that's pretty good! Whew! Oh, and I'm printing this vol again. Yay!

Claymore: I'm scheduled to start lettering vol 15 in April. The female fanservice returns in this vol. :D I've seen scans! *drools* I've missed the Clay boys!!! :3

Honey: vol 10 is 3/4ths done. I have 23 random pages from the 2nd half' left and almost 4 weeks to finish them. Woot! 5 of them are Pink, but with so much lovely time, I can do half a Pink page a day and be in good shape. ^^V It's alllllllmost oooooover!!!!!!

Nana: vol 17 is coming along nicely. I'm 1/4th in, and things are on schedule. I'm printing Nana again!! Also, I gave in to temptation and took a peek at the script for vol 20. My jaw hit the floor three times just in the first 10 pages. I had to stop reading. O.o

Skip Beat: I'm half-way through vol 19 and ahead of schedule. News of note for fans of this series: we've pretty much caught up with Japan. Vol 20 was released there in October! This means the Viz release will be slowing down. Skip will be published four times a year instead of the 6 times a year it's been up to now. Not much point in becoming upset over this, as it's rather hard for Viz to publish English Skip when it hasn't even been printed in Japan yet. :P~~~~~~ I'm not sure when the releases will slow down as vol 16 just came out and I've already finished vols 17 and 18. But if it doesn't happen with a delayed vol 17, then it will be soon. My own Skip lettering schedule has been relaxed starting now with the 2nd half of vol 19. More time yay! XD

Original manga update!

I've been drawing character designs like mad, and wish I had a scanner so I could show you guys. :P I worked on them during my flight to TX and back. Also on the flight back, I began plotting chapters!! XD Kyaaa! It's soooo much fun!!!! And I'm not half-paralyzed with fear that I'm going to mess up and shoot myself in the foot, since I'm plotting so much in advance in summary form, as described in this post. Heeeeee. X3

Fanfic Update!

Several months back, I posted a 2nd chapter here to my yaoi fluff story for Tantei Gakuen Q, It's All an Act, You Know. Last week I finally posted it to FF.net and Luna. So far everyone likes it! Lots of hits and two requests for more! X3 This is my most popular story, BTW. Does this surprise me? Nope. I find it amusing. *grins*

My two betas have vanished for the holiday. I can't really blame them for having busy real lives, can I?? So I'm patiently waiting their return before I send off Part 6 of my Gaara/FOC fic, Distracting and a Great Bother, to be ripped apart and thus improved by their input. Perhaps in a couple of days I'll take a fresh look at what I've done so far of Part 7 and see if I can't reclaim the bunny and finish the story.
