Can I be a Vampire Knight-style Vampire?
If I can't be a VK-style Vamp, then I chose an Anne Rice vamp. If that's out as well, I have to go with Hellsing vamp. Buffy vamp is last b/c I don't like what happens to their faces. >< So why am I going on about vampires??
It seems I've reverted to my summer schedule, where I wake up around 1:30 PM and go to sleep around 6 AM. I've always been a night owl, for as long as my parents stopped forcing bedtime on me way back when. I don't mind my schedule too much, except when it clashes with those of others. "Hey, s2m! Want to go shopping with us? We plan to leave at 9 in the morning!" "Err....as long as I don't have to drive." I had been avoiding this reversion since I broke the habit back in August. But thanks to the Night of Fury, it's back. Perhaps this week I'll try to break it. :P
I posted the first chapter of my fanfic at a small fanfic site, Lunaescence!

My babblings on New title and the manga report are behind the cut!! Only general observations on the manga, so no need for spoiler-white text. ^^
The original dialogue text size in New title follows a strange logic that I can't quite figure out. Sometimes it will be normally proportioned to the bubble and situation. Sometimes the bubble will be huge, but the text very small. This would be normal if the characters were whispering or talking quietly, but that isn't always the case here. And sometimes the bubbles are small, but the dialogue is proportionally huge. Understandable if the characters are shouting or in the background, but nope. That isn't always the case. Which brings me to my problem: When should I match the text size, and when should I not?? Scanlators certainly keep their font sizes the same. To the point of it being distracting... For now, I'm trying to keep to the usual manga rules. Small text in large bubbles when the speaker is being quiet, large text in small bubbles when the speaker isn't. Yet another thing to be decided with every page. La la la....
This will sound odd, but meat is a source of joy for the poor students in New title. It's come up three times so far, and I've barely begun chapter 3!! Meat meat wonderful meat!!! All I can think of whenever they go on about the joys of beef or pork or what have you is that a certain rewriter would be having serious issues with this. No way could she pull off her veggie burgers and leek soup here. And for the record, her changing the food bugs the hell out of me. >< I'm glad it seems she's stopped doing it. Yay.
And I'm having wishful thinking in regards to New title as well!! I'm picking up a serious shounenai vibe!! Woohoo!! But then, I suppose I can't help but let my mind go crazy when presented with attractive close male friends living together. Ara...I'm such a sinful girl!! *^^* As popular as New title is, I imagine there's quite a bit of like-minded doujinshi and fanfic out there. Once I progress a bit into the series so I don't have to worry about spoilers, I'll probably go hunt some up. *giggles* :3
