Shigoto update, wheee!
Here's what's going on in regards to work:
blah LJ is being diffiult blah
Claymore - The script for vol 16 is delayed two weeks now. Clay Editor says she'll be able to give me my full 8 weeks to letter once it does arrive, or at least most of it. Thankfully this volume is a talkie (for Clay) as was vol 15. I'm relieved it isn't one long fight scene, that's certain. Ooog! Vol 15 is still listed for release on November 3rd. I don't have my copy yet, either. :P
Nana - I'm a third of the way through vol 21. This volume is so emotional. More pages than usual are ambiance, my term for dialogue-free pages with small FX that showcase mood and plot. *shivers* Not at the pages, but at what's going on the story. D= I am happy about one subtle thing in this storyline, though. I'm glad it's there, for two of the characters' sakes. Nana 19 is also listed for release on November 3rd, and vol 20 for January 6th. I think Yazawa-sensei is still on her medical leave from publishing new chapters in Japan, so looks like there's going to be a lonnnng delay after English volume 21 is out on shelves.
Naruto - vol 47's conversion is done, and now I'm working on corrections for the first half. Not too much in the way of Naruto news. *shrugs* Volume 46 is out this month, no listing yet for 47.
Natsume - I finished vol 2 a week early, and am now waiting for corrections. I really like Natsume. The storylines are sweet and touching. I particularly enjoyed the first and last stories of vol 2, chapters 5 and 8. If I had time, I'd love to write fic for chapter 5. X3 Alas, ficcing is very low on my priority scale, and I have too many WIPs right now anyway...woe. Volume 1 will be out January 6th. I hope everyone gives it a try!! I'm liking Natsume more than Captive and Honey. ^^V
New Title 5 - I heard from Shoujo Editor 3 and things are delayed. :| I'm still rasterizing the screen tones from Deleter for use in Photoshop, so at least the delay is convenient for me. Speaking of Deleter tones, I was mistaken. Apparently there isn't an extra CD of digital screens for the program. If I want more, I'll have to buy them as actual hard copy tones and scan them in. Ttaku mo! Why are digital tones so hard to come by?? Even legally?! I don't understand!! *frustrated noise*
Skip Beat! - I finished volume 21 a couple days ago, almost 3 weeks early. This volume is the start of a new and more dramatic story arc. Looks like a new regular supporting character has entered the story...she's very different from the other actresses Kyoko has met in her scramble up the celebrity ladder. I rather hope she'll be around for quite some time! I find her interesting. Oh, and she's the one who caused this post. Skip volume 19 is out this month, no listing yet for volume 20.
For those who read everything and paid attention, yes, at the moment I only have Nana to letter. O.o I'm trying to finish as much now as I can, since a rushed Clay 16 is about to land, and New Title 5 in a couple of months. All Pink, Orange, Yellow with Orange Dot, and straight Yellow pages are finished in the first half, which is all I have script for. I'm working on the Yellow with Green Dots now. Without more script, I can't fully preletter the 2nd half, but I'm doing what I can: straightening pages, whiting out Japanese, numbering pages, etc. I'm also doing this with Clay 16. It's all about planning ahead! Particularly since L-chan is going to try to visit in a couple weekends. :3
Back to work for me, then. Shigoto shigoto!
