Dear Yuletide author,
Thank you so much for offering to write in Yuletide. This is my first year to participate, and I am very excited to both receive AND to write!
If you're reading this, you're looking for an idea of what kind of fic I'd like. :3
Overall: I love a fic with strong emotions and character development, and I consider a gripping plot to be icing on the cake. I really like to see inside a character's mind and understand why they do what they do. I tend to like plotty fics, particularly suspense or mystery, but a strong narrative story of any kind pleases me. I'm not very interested in fluff, slice-of-life, or holiday fic--unless it has some character nuance or intriguing plot that makes it fresh.
I like both dark and happy fic. It comes down to the power of the story being told, no matter how it ends. If a fic makes me cry in agony or joy, that means it's good. XD
Romance or gen: Both! For romance, my fave is UST. I'm a fan of slash/BL, het, femmeslash/yuri, and threesomes and more. It's all about the characters involved! I can take or leave graphic sex, it's the fore-play and interaction I enjoy. In gen, I love watching characters learn to trust each other and seeing that trust in action. Knowing they can depend on someone--even if they can't stand the other outside of life-or-death situations--makes me smile. With either romance or gen, I enjoy watching a character realize they are welcomed, be it welcomed by close friends, lover(s!), or new family.
Squicks and triggers: I am almost impossible to squick or trigger, so no need to worry about it. I don't like or enjoy the horrible things people can do to each other, but they can be part of a good story.
Original characters are fine by me, as long as they contribute to the story. ^^

Fandom specifics, in alphabetical order! These are all suggestions, of course. If none of them spark a bunny for you, write whatever bunny you can catch for my requested characters. ^^
Basara: Asagi and Ageha are my two favorite characters. In canon, I couldn't help finding Asagi fascinating, creepy selfish manipulation of others and all. I like him because he's so creepy and interesting. I also ship him with Sarasa or Ageha, or even both together, if that can be managed! X3 Ageha is also very interesting in how selfless and well-connected he is. It would be amazing to see an AU if he had decided to work under Shido, or taken child!Sarasa from the village after saving her and raising her himself. (Spoiler for the end of the series in my next possible scenario, highlight to read:) Or perhaps what he would have gone on to do if he hadn't died in the huge fire at the end. T.T
Blacksad: The second chapter, Arctic Nation, was my favorite of the four so far. I went nuts when Blacksad faced down the militant black horse inside that store, and I LONGED to see more of them interacting. Perhaps their one scene ended differently? Or maybe they could save the kidnapped girl together? Or run across each other in a new case? Slash or gen, either way, I just want more of them together. (Though if you can throw some UST in there, I will go into fangasms.) If the horse doesn't work for you, then Blacksad dealing with an original case would be good. Or perhaps a comedy where he's having a very bad day? Weekly is welcome in whatever fic you think of, as I thought he was adorable.
Chronicles of Riddick: For me, it's all about the original film, Pitch Black. Riddick's badass survivalist nature and the overall suspense make the film. I'd love to see what happened between Riddick and Jack, as they are my favorite characters. Would Jack even want to stay with Riddick, once she gets to know him better? I don't ship Riddick/Jack, but I do think Jack's adolescent admiration for Riddick is cute. If she were older and wiser, though...? :D Perhaps Carolyn survived and went with them...how would she, Riddick, and Jack get along? Or in a completely different vein, I have a desire to see something slashy or heavy bromance between Riddick and a MOC, set before or after Pitch Black. :3 Please don't focus on Johns.
DOGS: Badou is my fave in canon, and I love watching him barely hang on to his life while he flails about wreaking havoc and trying to keep up with Heine. I like his friendship with Heine, and how he teases dog-boy. Canon emphasizes they're both straight--enough to make me suspicious--so if you could show a glimmer of BL, that would be glorious. I don't mind squinting to have to see it. :D Perhaps you could explore how they met, or a missing scene, or create your own crazy action scene and have fun.
