Clay v9 is here. A day earlier than I expected, since the book is due tomorrow, the 10th. Ha! I give many thanks to the manga no kami that the final two chapters are talkies. But alas, the first half is one continuous fight scene that wraps up events from vol 8.

Clay v9 final count:

Blue pages (check for specks only): 11
Green pages (dialogue and specks): 44. (That's a LOT for Claymore. Actually, that's a lot for Skip or Nana, too...)
Yellow pages (minor to medium FX, dialogue, specks): 72
Orange pages (medium to major FX, dialogue, specks): 44
Pink ~~Pages from Hell~~: (extreme FX, dialogue, specks): 12, all in the first half of the volume. That's very light for Clay.
total page count: 183

I told Clay Editor that I'd finish in my usual rush-job Clay speed: 6 weeks. (My normal scheduled speed is 7.) So I'll be finished on Feb 20th.

I may gripe about how difficult Clay is, but I don't regret it. B/c of Clay I was able to meet Clay Editor #1 (current Clay Editor is #2). And I never would have read Clay at all if I hadn't become its letterer. That means I would have completely missed this wonderful series.
