I do so love presents...
Something I'll probably never outgrow is my love for presents. To me, they are physical reminders that someone was thinking of you, and hopefully likes you enough to buy or make you something special. I just love love love presents, though now that I'm older, it's the thought and affection behind them that I love more than the actual object itself.
Usually. *wink*
Tonight I'm finally updating my wishlist, which I do once or twice a year as by bday or Christmas nears. I'm actually really easy to buy presents for, the only problem is finding something I don't already have. This is why I started my wishlist ages ago, to help my family track down the books and DVDs I needed.
At first, my wishlist was almost entirely anime. But over the past several years, the book section has become dominant. Omoshiroi, ne?
I'm going to sit on the list for 24 hours, in case I think of anything else to add. Wheee! EDIT: Oh yeah, a new printer toner cartridge...those are $70 a pop. *adds*
And if I don't get the Loveless art books for Christmas, I'm buying those myself. MOST DEFINITELY WANT. And the scanner, screen tone discs, and tablet sheet. MOST DEFINITELY NEED.
Oops. While making my wishlist, I noticed that I somehow deleted the Japanese-language section on my massive Manga I Own list, and saved it that way. Mmph. Now I have to re-make that part, which will take several hours. But at the moment, no time. Oog. T.T

Anyway, I'm going through my current fave online anime goodies store, Sasuga Books, and finding tons of stuff I'd like to own, such as the Bronze complete manga set, a Loveless Art book, what looks like it could be a 2nd Loveless artbook, and one by a mangaka for a series I've never heard of, but the cover looks quite nice, so what the hell. This year I decided to add the manga set I've been eyeing for about 8 years, the Violinist of Hameln complete set at Acclimate Solution. $150 for 37 volumes. With shipping it would be around $200, if not more. T.T Thus the reason I have yet to buy it myself. Another new addition is the Paranoia Agent sound track, mostly b/c I want the opening song and haven't had much luck finding it as an mp3 online. Since if I really love a series I will go legal--even if I have the fansubs--also listed are the Death Note and Naruto (uncut, obviously) DVD releases. For those who don't want to shop around, I have simple gift card requests for my fave places to shop, namely bookstores, two clothing places, and CD Japan. I should check if Sasuga Books has a gift certificate program, I'd definitely like that. *pokes around their site* Ttaku. Nope. Meh.
Of course, I have manga listed, though I'm finally catching up on my want list. No Viz titles, though, since I've been having good luck asking for job perk freebies. XD So the manga wantlist is all Tokyopop and Del Rey stuff. Tramps, Ghost Hunt, Trigun, etc.
It's fun to make my wishlist out, though this year I think I'll keep it as a reference for myself. When I feel the need to buy some artbooks, I'll just look here for the ones I want, rather than wade through the 200+ artbooks listed on Sasuga. Heh.
But my list isn't all fun stuff, I do have three "serious" listings. A new flatbed scanner, for artwork and manga scans. My old one didn't die, but it was indeed old, and thus uncompatible with Utena and Tsukushi. Second are four sets of digital manga screen tones, for work and personal art reasons. Third is a new drawing sheet for my Wacom tablet. Mine is definitely showing some wear!!
