General stuff that's coming up and on my mind...
I lost two days of my life this weekend to an incredible HP fic epic...and to the heat. I've officially lived in the Pacific NW long enough to have lost my tolerance for hot humid days. Wheee! Anyway, that fic was amazing and I loved every minute of the entire 330,000 word experience, and I regret nothing! My only disappointment is that the fic never became Harry/Draco, but danced alll around it. Harry with long hair...and Draco tending it!! Pardon me while I swoon. *swoons* I am such a sucker for pretty men with pretty long hair!! X3 I must save the fic and its sequel to my hard drive so they WILL BE MINE FOREVER and eternally hope that the author decides to write more and tackle her fanon's version of Voldie's defeat...and maybe give me more litle tidbits of allllmost Drarry to flail over. *gazes up beseechingly at the fic gods* PLEEEZE!!!

Last Wednesday I headed across the river to hang out for several hours with fellow HP fans, though amusingly enough we barely talked about HP. ^^ I had tons of fun with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
saladbats, snottygirl, winnett, and met a new friend in katelinmr. I also had whiskey in my coffee, and pear juice with brandy! Both were very tasty. Would drink again! :9
Before the HP fangirl meetup, I tried to stalk the Goose Hollow Portland neighborhood with my digital camera, for background reference picture taking. Only my already low batteries finally died, and ALL THREE of my extra batteries died, too! O.o WTH? I've decided there must have been a ghost that sucked the juice dry. I think I took about 10 pics before the battery crisis. I'll have to buy a new package of AAs and give it a try again. :P
I have a family reunion coming in Kansas City this weekend. I'll be flying of course.knastymike has kitty visiting duty, since my usual sitter is super-busy preparing for San Diego Comic Con. I've been trying to clean my place up--particularly now that Kakashi has entered a destructive phase :/--and it's slow going. I loathe cleaning and would rather do almost anything else. And the the heat from a few days ago doesn't help, and now I am very tired, because...
With the goal of busting out of my weight-loss plateau, today I bumped up the run-to-walk ratio from 3:2 to 2:1. Or in less geeky terms, I ran for two minutes and walked one, increased from running for 1.5 min and walking one. I kept it up for the whole 45 minutes and had to extend my route an extra 1/3rd of a mile to make up for the increased speed. Now I feel generally tired all over, my knees hurt, and I don't have any ambition to do more today than poke around the net. I took a strong hit of caffeine an hour ago, and I don't feel any different. Bleh. Though I did find the energy to compose this post, so I guess it did help.
Now, I have to do the increased pace again tomorrow. It's going to be a lot harder, too. I go through this every time I bump up my pace. It IS pretty cool that I can cover almost twice as much distance in 45 minutes now as I could before. I can walk to my library carrying hardbacks both ways (6 miles, round trip 2 hours 10 minutes) without being a zombie the next day. Yay to being more fit! Now if only I can shed some of this irritating fat hiding all my glorious muscle! Bah.
I've been working on an illustration of my original manga's main characters as a welcome pic for the new followers on my Tumblr and DA, thanks to my aforementioned guest comic at Candi. ^^ It's slow going there, too, b/c I can't just do a simple sketch and post it. Noooo, I have to try to make it all pretty and do a full background and while I'm faster at that than I used to be, I still take forever.
Oh, and yesterday I loaded all the amazing Photoshop brushes kindly shared with me by one of the artists I met at Stumptown. I can see all sorts of potential in them, and am definitely diving in head-first to use them in this pic. Yay again!
What is this? A jolt of adrenalin??? How long will it last?? Heh!
Tired and woozy slr2moons is also kinda prone to rambling in her LJ posts. Hmm. I'd better sign off now. Quit while I'm ahead!
