15/2/08 21:11While I'm thinking about it, and before I find something new to babble about, let me say something important.
Three of you have surprised me with apologies for not particularly liking one or two of my manga titles. Mina-san, you don't have to apologize. We all have different tastes, and we all like different things. The only aspects of my titles that I directly influence are the artwork and text. I have nothing to do with translation and story. And that last one, story, is the most important reason why a person enjoys a title or not.
You aren't required to buy everything I letter, nor are you even required to read every single volume. Of course, I want you try to out all of my titles at least once, but I"m not going to be offended if you aren't crazy insanely in love with all or even one of them.
Manga runs the full gamut of story types and quality, and though I follow and enjoy a large number of different titles, there are quite a few others that I have no interest in or outright despise. My nee-san refuses to have anything to do with manga on principle, lettered by me or not. And I had an aunt go ballistic when she looked at my stuff way back when I first started and realized that manga was printed right-to-left, insted of the Sacred English Way of left-to-right.
It's ridiculous for me to be hurt if Skip's revenge plot doesn't appeal to you, or if the gore in Clay isn't to your taste, or if Honey is too loosely drawn. Truth be told, I'm just glad that you have an opinion about my manga at all, because it means you tried it.
That's all I ask of you, mina-san. Really. ^^
