Behold my fannish squees of joy!! XD

fandomsecrets  has introduced me to many wonderful things. Among them are Questionable Content, Kuroshitsuji, Kelly Armstrong's Darkest Powers series, Shortpacked, Fairy Tail, the best crossover fanfic I've ever read, and a handful of awesome new LJ friends.

Today, through the massive hive mind that is f!s, I have learned something else truly wonderful. I've long wondered exactly who that "Sephiroth" guy was, and "Cloud" with the overly large sword, and knew they were from the game I've been hearing about for 10 years: Final Fantasy 7. I'd resolved myself to finding a copy of the game somewhere (it's it like 9 discs long?) and spending endless hours slogging through it on my PS2--after breaking down and finally buying a TV. :P I do enjoy questing games, but I don't have the time to play them anymore. Just ask my poor Prince of Persia, who's been stuck at 35% of his quest for the past two years.

However....thanks to fandomsecrets, today I learned of a lovely fannish thing called a "Let's Play" video, where a gamer records their gaming saga and uploads it in segments to Youtube. I just found the entire FF7 saga, conveniently played for me by an expert gamer with a sexy English accent. Heeeeee. ^^

Let's play, indeed. I'll be able to see what al the fuss is about...on my own time, and with no stress! KYAAA!!!! *clicks on Let's Play Final Fantasy 7: Part 1* Muwahahahah!!! XD
