Naruto homework and my fannish stories

I'm just about finished with my Naruto homework, which was reading vols 39 and 40. I wanted to go back to vol 1 and read straight through, but that would take me several months, so I skipped to the new stuff. Kishimoto-sensei has revealed so many huge secrets and answers in these two volumes. I swear, every other chapter I'm exlaiming, "OMG! WTH! NRRGH! Wait,--whut?! *headdesk*" Mysteries that have been around since volume one are suddenly answered in one fell swoop. O.o I can't help wondering if Kishimoto-sensei has a list of Significant Items to be Revealed and he's gleefully checking off each one as he blasts fans out of the water in unexpected shock. O.o It's like he's ready to wrap up the current storyline and move on to new arcs and characters. Not necessarily ending Naruto for good, but maybe another time skip? I dunno. My mind wanders when I'm suffering a bout of zombie.

 Speaking of which, this session is bad. So bad I might take a half-day off tomorrow. Urgh.

Now, the chibi fanfic update! Behind the cut for the five people or so on my flist who actually read my original (as in non-work) stuff. :B

 

The 6th chapter of my Gaara/OC fic, Distracting and a Great Bother, is up!! I actually posted it last weekend. I'm pleased with the number of hits to part 6: 34 on Luna and 21 on the Pit. No new reviews. T.T One new author favorite on Luna (OMGYAY), one new story fave on the Pit. Could be better, could be worse. The interesting thing about multi-chaptered fics is that hits on later chapters means the reader is actually reading, and that's a good thing. I find it amusing my story is read more often on Luna, a site which is so small and tiny when compared with the colossal Pit. One more chapter left and DaaGB will be done. Whew!

Oh, and my Clay fic, Maturation's Matriculation, earned me a lovely review on Luna! The person said she always found Raki's behavior annoying, but my fic has made her rethink her opinion, and now he doesn't bother her as much. :D Isn't that awesome!! XD YAY!!!
 


On that happy note, I shall depart. I have a couple more chapters of Naruto vol 40 left. I wonder what Big Secret Reveal will be next...? Naruto's secret hair gel brand, perhaps??
