Wow...s2m really CAN draw something besides manga FX!! O=

I've been working and talking about it for months, but here 'tis at last. My giftpic for my wonderful friend stariceling . ^^ It didn't take me long to decide what I wanted to draw for her, since Tantei Gakuen Q is her all-time favorite series, and Ryuu/Megu/Kyuu is her OT3. The answer was obvious! <3 

This pic is of note because it is also my first digital painting. It was created entirely in Photoshop, from original sketch to final tweaks. I must give thanks to my other wonderful friend, anti_paragon , for helping me so much with her advice, tutorial links, and her wonderful artistic betas! *grateful hugs for anti-chan* I couldn't have done it without her!!

Altogether, this pic took 6 months from start to finish. Though if you added up the actual time I spent working on it, the total would likely be around a week. My work schedule dominates everything, as you all know, so I am only able to draw and paint on the rare days when I finish the ever-present quota early! I have to admit that the pic was also delayed since I absolutely loathe painting detailed backgrounds. >< I had more false starts than I care to admit, and even one completion. -.-; But in the end, Star-chan said it was worth the wait, so that makes me very very happy. ^^ And look, I managed to paint a background!! XD

Being able to create this pic was a true joy, even when I was continually frustrated by skin tone problems and backgrounds 'cause they hate me. I always forget how wonderful it is to create artwork!! Once I have the cash to buy a 2nd drawing tablet for Utena, I hope I will be able to indulge my artistic fantasies more often! Not to mention my future doujinshi!! XD
