Looks like Naruto 47 will be descending upon me Monday or Tuesday. Once again I'm far enough ahead in my current titles to let me not be stressing out about it. I am, however, going to finish as many difficult to medium pages in Natsume and Skip this weekend as I can. Things should go easier on this third round of magazine to graphic novel conversion. I've especially learned what to look out for when I make my volume key sheet. Number and size of FX on a page isn't as important as the type of background involved, and of course if the artwork has been tweaked for the book version. (As of page 50 in the GN, only two pages with art changes. Nice!)

Scanner shopping, the Natsume anime, and a webcomic rec! )

I've made no secret that I'm rather intimidated by the character design for Bond, the feline main character of my own webcomic short story. I've barely drawn any anthromorphic characters, and while Bond looks like a cat, he will be expressing human emotions, similar to the casts of the Lion King or the Aristocats. I decided to dive in head-first, googled for kitty pics as reference, and threw myself at it. I redrew one lazy Maine Coon cat, added eyebrows, tweaked his mouth, and realized I CAN do this. *goofy grin* I broke through the wall. :D I'm sketching out various expressions tonight, and am pleased with the results. I can't estimate when I'll finish his design--particularly not with Naruto 47 about to consume my spare time--but the hard part is over! I have found the confidence to draw him. Kyaaaa!

Terry Brooks will be at one of my local bookstores next week, doing book signings. This makes me incredibly happy, as The Sword of Shannara was one of the first adult fantasy books I ever read, and stars one of my most devoted fangirl crushes. Ahhh, Shea Ohmsford, how I loved thee....I was 12, and in love...*wistful sigh* I have no doubt he was the start of my obsession with elves. *grins unashamedly* I'm going to dig my old copy of the book out from my book piles and ask him to sign it for me. *fangirlly squirms of delight* I actually have NOT read all his Shannara books because Mr. Brooks married Shea off in the 2nd volume and I...did not take that well. At all. *cough cough* THEN I found a pairing to squee over in his Scions of Shannara sequel series, but he deliberately killed it in the 2nd volume. D= I never forgave him for that. AHEM! In any case, I'm overjoyed by the chance to meet Shea's father, and I hope he will sign his first book for me. You know, since he's promoting his newest novel in a completely different series than Shannara... :B I've never been to a book signing for me before. I'm going to be so nervous and incapable of talking, I just know it. *fidget fidget*

I must channel this restless energy into being productive! Back to work on Natsume and Bond's sketches! BANZAIII!

I do believe it's time for a shigoto update, hmm? Though there isn't much actual news to report!

Current status of Captive, Clay, Nana, Naruto, New Titles 5 and 6, and Skip. )

If you read through everything above, this does mean that at the moment, all I have to letter is Nana and Skip! It feels so weird. O.o Both vols are completely pre-lettered too, so I've been working on my art and stories instead. I didn't post it here, but the rough "blue line" of the human main character from my manga short story is up on my Deviant Art account! 100% SFW. I will be posting the final version here. Perhaps in a few days!

On a side note, at my last Sci-Fi book club meeting, I learned that a small group of professional writers meet a couple times a month to write together. New--serious writers--are welcome to join them. One of those authors is in the book club group. I'm trying to work up the nerve to invite myself. I mean, I'm writing a graphic novel. Does that count? Will the cool kids let me play with them?? O.o *fidgets* I'd so dearly love to have IRL writing friends, but I dunno how they'd feel about the whole graphic novel angle and being unpublished for my own work and not intending to actually publish-publish my first original story anyway since I plan to post it as a web comic and I'm nervous but would love to go MY INSECURITIES, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM. *hides*
slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (chibi L)
I found another one. I just did a search on DA for "model sheet" to help me think outside my own drawing box, and the first one I clicked on ended up being for a man named Giancarlo Valentino D'Osta. It's a plague! A plague, I tell you!! Awesome model sheet, though. SFW.

How about a shigoto update, since that's why pretty much everyone's here?

Clay, Nana, Naruto, Natsume, Skip, my short story, and an unexpected fanart request )

That's it for this update. I'm reading my SF book club's July selection, Day of the Triffids. O.o This book is incredibly unnerving. D= I keep having to take breaks. I might have to pull out the big guns and unwind with Hikaru no Go or One Piece or something half-way through. Ghaaa! (Pretty impressive how scary I'm finding it, considering the book was written in the 50s!)

Oh yeah, it's Wednesday. I need to post. *blank expression*

I'm a half-zombie, which means I'm not at 100% but not fighting to stay sane, either. Meh. I've been listless and without focus the past few days. Yesterday I did no prelettering, instead I read fanfic in between Naruto pages. (I've discovered the joys of South Park slash. Yes, you heard me. And ew, no! They're teenagers in the fics.) Today I was a good girl and did corrections for Natsume 1.2, since SE2 sent them to me late yesterday. I finished half of them, then watched the South Park movie for the 2nd time in my life. (Those songs are so catchy. I now have "What would Brian Boitano Do?" stuck in my head. :P I really want to draw SP fanart, bishounen style. *giggle* Not that I have the time for that.

Speaking of fanart, my lovely artist friend Lexi drew a portrait of my elf self! XD You can see the shiny here in her DA acount. I'm working on a reciprocal pic, and I'm using it to practice the things I need to work on, like dramatic lighting and clothes. :B *is trying to improve*

In regards to work, today I turned in the first half of Naruto 46. The 2nd half has even MORE fighting (urgh), but thankfully I have a little longer to do this half of the conversion. Yay. Unfortunately, this half has color pages. The color pages have been lettered for the magazine by someone else, but I can't use the mag version for the GN. The reason is DPI. Color digital files at 300 dpi. The Japanese color pages have been turned into b/w ones at the standard 1200 dpi. So dragging the FX from lettered mag color page to unlettered GN b/w page doesn't work, since they're 4x too small. Thus, I'm lettering the color pages 100% all-new. Wheee! Just like old times!!

An amusing Naruto observation, spoilers for around vol 42. )

I did make it to my book club meeting, much to my joy. I even found out one of the key members reads FMA. Yay! It's nice to know I don't have to defend my passion to everyone. :D

Speaking of which, my doujinshi is coming along. I've been chipping away at it here and there. I'm working on the final page at last, which I'm surprised to say has been the easiest for me so far, though it's the most complicated of the lot! I must be gaining confidence, proficiency, and speed. Yay again! I'm almost finished with the inking, not counting everyone's hair. *wince*

My mind just blanked, so I'll take that as my cue to depart. See ya next Wed!

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (I'd rather be reading...)

Here I am, still alive and kicking. The first list of changes for Naruto 46 arrived late Monday, as expected. The 2nd list came early today. I actually started the conversion before I had them, b/c every hour of time is precious. I have to convert 13 pages a day to make the deadlines, but more on this in a minute. I did very well the first two days, but today I am definitely dragging. --;; I'm going to finish the Naruto minimum, but I think Nana will be skipped today. I can spare it, because...

It's rather satisfying to know that this bout of Work Hell would have been so much worse if I hadn't pushed myself for the past three months. Lettering an extra page each of my shoujo titles every day, tackling all the nasty pages of everything first, wrapping up Clay as quickly as I could (yay for a dialogue-heavy volume!), and definitely being wise enough to turn down One Piece has really saved my neck. I've also figured out a way to make the Naruto conversion a bit easier, which is itself a huge help. I still have to keep on top of things and can't let myself go zombie until the conversion is over, but it's comforting to think of how much worse off I could be right now. This calls for the happy smiley! :D :D :D 13 pages a day and I can still attend my book club meeting next week. No way am I missing that, as I'm starting to finally get to know the other members, and this month's book was awesome and I want to talk about it!!

BTW, it's amazing how much more time I have since I stopped reading my communities. Seriously. I've gained an hour and a half of work time. O.o Wow. And I only regularly visited 4!! They were all rather high-traffic, but still. Whoa! *wonders what they're up to, but not enough to actually go and see*

Fannish squees! )

Now, my post last week mentioned my epiphany regarding my original manga. Let me see if I can do the realization justice. Hmmmmm.

An artistic epiphany... )

Time for me to depart and get back to finishing the quota. I'm glad I wrote 3/4ths of this post yesterday, when I was burning with energy, as there's no way I could have belted it all out today. Half-zombiedom sucks. :P~~~ I'm going to be hitting the caffeine tomorrow!

Until next week, minna! *salutes*

I am completely addicted to "New Divide" by Linkin Park. OMG it's so pretty!!!! X3

I just ordered myself a portable air conditioner for my apartment. Now, you might be thinking I'm a wuss for needing one, but it isn't really for me. It's for my computers. Last weekend, the temperature reached the mid 80s. Even with my windows open and THREE fans going, it was HOT in my bedroom/office. I have a large window that faces west and receives direct sunlight from 3PM to sunset. I think you will all agree that $400 for an air conditioner is much cheaper than $2,000 for two new computers, hmmmm? I'm going to have to visit a hardware store to get the exhaust hose hooked up to my apartment complex's specifications. I'm sure it will be worth the trouble in the end. I need Hoth (what I named the AC. Geek points for you if you get it! :B ) here ASAP, as it's supposed to hit the mid 80s again in about a week. :P~~~

Today I was sent the raw tiffs for Naruto 46, which means I can start the conversion. I don't have the changes from mag-to-GN yet, but I can definitely take a bite out of the grunt work. Transferring the type, tweaking for placement and kerning (space between letters), and of course the size reduction, since GN pages are 66% the size of the mag ones. The FX also have to be shrunk to fit, and I can copy and shrink the 5% of mag background touchup I can use for the GN. Every little bit helps, hmm?

One spot of good luck is that the mag pages don't have floating type (when you have type placed directly over the background, not in a word bubble) as part of the image. So I can copy the mag page background from underneath the mag type and paste it onto the GN page--where the floating type IS part of the image. Tweak for size and rotation and we're good to go--unless there's screen tone involved. In which case, at least I can trace the line art from the pasted bit. Again, every little bit helps.

I also have corrections for Natsume 1's first half. First volumes always have tons of changes b/c the various editors who read it are extra nit- picky. Looks like I'll be tweaking a third of the pages. Let us hope they're mostly easy text tweaks!

I'd best run. I should be working instead of blogging. --;;;

Naruto 45 is done. 200 pages in 18 days. *a very tired headdesk* Naruto Editor said the next vol will be just as rushed, but maybe he can get me an extra week for vols 47+. I really hope so. I was profoundly lucky this time that I'd already finished Captive, Honey, Skip, and yet to start Natsume. If I'd had more than just Nana on my plate right now....I...don't want to think about it.

I deserve a reward. I haven't had fried chicken in 6 months, not since before I left Texas. I want some fried chicken. And mashed potatoes. And ice cream for desert. *drools very tiredly* I am going out to eat tomorrow, as the lure of food cooked by professionals is finally stronger than my embarrassment at eating in a restaurant alone. I'm taking my writing notebook with me to work on my manga short story. *determined pose*

Now, mina-san, I am going to do a Morita-sempai and sleep until I wake up on my own. (Except for when Spicer-kitty rouses me at around 6:30 AM to give him breakfast. Little bastard. Good thing for him he's so cute.)

OYASUMI. *crash*

I'm just about finished with my Naruto homework, which was reading vols 39 and 40. I wanted to go back to vol 1 and read straight through, but that would take me several months, so I skipped to the new stuff. Kishimoto-sensei has revealed so many huge secrets and answers in these two volumes. I swear, every other chapter I'm exlaiming, "OMG! WTH! NRRGH! Wait,--whut?! *headdesk*" Mysteries that have been around since volume one are suddenly answered in one fell swoop. O.o I can't help wondering if Kishimoto-sensei has a list of Significant Items to be Revealed and he's gleefully checking off each one as he blasts fans out of the water in unexpected shock. O.o It's like he's ready to wrap up the current storyline and move on to new arcs and characters. Not necessarily ending Naruto for good, but maybe another time skip? I dunno. My mind wanders when I'm suffering a bout of zombie.

Speaking of which, this session is bad. So bad I might take a half-day off tomorrow. Urgh.

Now, the chibi fanfic update! Behind the cut for the five people or so on my flist who actually read my original (as in non-work) stuff. :B

DaaGB 6 and a fun bit about my Clay story! XD )

On that happy note, I shall depart. I have a couple more chapters of Naruto vol 40 left. I wonder what Big Secret Reveal will be next...? Naruto's secret hair gel brand, perhaps??

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (spoilers)
I just started the GN conversion for Naruto vol 45. I don't have the changes yet between mag and GN, but I'm hoping it's a safe gamble I won't have to go back and change too much. I've pre-lettered through page 12, and my comment in my previous post was right: I am completely lost! XD And also... SPOILERS LIEK WHOA!!! *headdesk* Since when did THIS happen, guys?? *pokes the characters in question* You all look so weird!! Kishimoto-sensei, you have some 'splainin' to do...

I won't get much use out of the tag for New Title 4, since the license was announced by Viz at the big anime con that just happened last weekend in New York. So, minna! The true identity for New Title 4 is....*drumroll*

Natsume's Book of Friends! aka Natsume Yuuchinchou. *applauds* I should begin lettering sometime around the Ides of March. A large portion of the FX in this book are creepy in the traditional Japanese sense, meaning wavery black ink hiragana. Mimicing that style for their English equivalents will be very good practice for me and my calligraphy skills. Ohh yeah! XD

Now guys, a quick request. I know some of you read scanlations of my titles the moment they are available from Japan, and some (like me) watch anime eps the same way. But not everyone who reads this blog does so. I formally request that when you comment about something fresh from Japan, or something where the English release is far behind the Japanese one (Natsume, for example), you do not say anything spoilery. If you do--and I'd rather you avoid it--please warn for it and place it in white type. If you don't, then I'm going to screen your comment so you won't spoil anyone who might see it. And I'll probably shake my finger at you, too.

So if you decide to guess what I'm frantic about in my bit of Naruto freakout above, please don't. Okay?? If I had learned these two particular spoilers outside of work, I would have been PISSED. Please be considerate and remember not everyone can or wants to be on top of things from Japan. Sankyuu.

Back to work for me. After I have a few more days of Naruto conversion under my belt, I'll tell you guys how it's going. ^^V
slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (insane laughter)
This post's use of the Insane Laughter icon is meant in a good way!!! I have long been missing Foxy Boy and Angst Muffin, thanks to Work Hell preventing me from taking any new volumes last year. But the two guys have returned to my docket, and on a permanent basis. To quote my beloved Inner Sakura: HELL YEAH!! XD

MOAR INFO PLZ!!!! )

Oh yes, and for those interested in the anime: it's only half-filler at the moment. The Sasuke/Orochimaru interaction currently going on is in my vol 38. The toad silliness and new Orochimaru minions (the kid and the crystal woman) are the filler half. I suppose this is one way to make everyone keep watching. Someone at Pierot is sneaky!

It's a good thing I have no ice cream, cake, or cookies in my apartment, as I'd have binged in celebration. But I did splurge and eat a 400 calorie bowl of noodles and chicken. :9 And I had plum wine, too!!! *waves her tiny peacock sake glass it the air* KAMPAI!!!!!!!!

(LJ spellcheck's first suggestion for "Orochimaru" is "Irishman". *snerk*)

I really need to buy a new tower. Or have Utena's shell given new innards. X| Nothing against Usagi here, but I miss my lovely widescreen 21 inch monitor, which has been turned off ever since Utena's death.

But mostly b/c I can't burn backup DVDs until I have that new tower. )
Aw, hell. *grits teeth and deletes Wanted, Naruto-proto chapter, and Naruto vol 21 from Tsukushi* There. That ought to last me about a month.  *cries*

Urgh. If I had a designation for page difficulty higher than pink/Page from Hell, my current page of Captive 2 would definitely qualify. It's a review of volume 1, with tons of floating text, cute captions, chibi characters, sparklies, flowers, vines, and hand-written FX and asides. Which would be bad enough on their own. Except this page was printed in color, painted with markers or watercolor over EVERYTHING. No white space at all.  And as a black and white page of manga, all those pretty colors are turned into dots. *headdesk*

I've been working on it all day. I take breaks and letter pages from other titles, but I always come back to it. Urgh. If only I could let myself work half-assed....*headdesk* The arrival of  Captive 2 is why I've become silent again. --;;;

My first laptop computer arrived yesterday. An XP machine, b/c no way in hell am I touching Vista. Now I can leave the house to GET OUT and work away in a Starbucks or something. I'm pretty sure I'll name her "Usagi". I'd like to get a small 5 x 7 drawing tablet for her, which I plan to dub "Luna". Heeee. :3 Of course, this also means I now have three computers. ^^;;;; Let my geeky status be known!!!!! *flings out arms in acceptance*

I've finally broken Tsuwabuki. I slammed off the backspace key by typing too fast and furious, and it must take special tool or something to get it back on. I've reattached many a popped keyboard key, but Tsukwabuki isn't your normally constructed keyboard. Woe. It's only taken me two days to become accustomed to not using the backspace. I do a lot of highlighting and retyping. Heh. :P Tsuwabuki-kuuuuuuun....gomen.....T.T But at least I didn't drop him.
slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (insane laughter)

I finished Clay 13 yesterday.

I finished Naruto 38 today.

This means....WORK HELL IS OVERRRRR!!!!!!!!!! At least until the next session, of course. ^^;;

I still don't have the raw files for Honey 9, which means at the moment, all I have is Captive 1, Nana 15, and Skip 17. This is...truly wonderful....*eyes sparkle with joy* And it's not just b/c Work Hell is over!! I can use my new bits of spare time to PACK! And get MOVING COMPANY QUOTES! And SCROUNGE FOR APARTMENTS online! My mom, oneechan, and I already bought our plane tickets for my apartment quest in late July. And lined up a rental car!!!

KYAAAAA!!!! The goal is to move in to my new Portland home no later than September 1st. Heeeeeee! <3 <3 <3 (I really really hope I won't have to give up a volume of one of my shoujo titles to a substitute letterer to make it happen. At least Clay is safe, and I don't have any more Naruto books in line. The thought of letting anyone else touch my babies makes me snarl. *clutches Skip, Nana, Honey, and Captive to her bosom* Though if I have to throw one to the wolves, it would be Captive first, then Honey, then Nana. You are correct, Skip is not on that list.

But back into hyper mode!!! It feels great to finally be taking some real steps!!! KYAAA!!!!! *jumps up and down* OMG, I'd better get to work so  can finish Captive 1 ASAP. Heeee!! XD

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (chibi L)

I missed posting last week. I don't think anyone noticed though, so no harm no foul and all that. *waves hand*

Lured by anti-chan's own meme post about a personality test, I took it myself. Here are the complete results. Tl;dr version: I am an independent thinker. I love to work, I think things through, I'm good at my job, enjoy being alone, and need only a few close friends to be happy. Yep, that's me. What I find amusing is I fully expected to come up with the same results as anti-chan's test. I know I would have, before I found my current job. I guess lettering manga has really changed my life. Omoshiroi.

As a quick shigoto update: Captive v1 is 3/5ths done, I'm actually through with the series content and am now working on the first of two manga oneshots that complete the book. Clay 13 is 4/5ths done. I have two pink pages left before an easy finish of yellow and green. Honey 8 is finished, and I'm now having a mini-break since Japan hasn't sent the pages for vol 9. Yay. Break is good! Nana 15 has begun, I'm a whole whopping one page in. Heh! Naruto 38 is wrapping up, I have about 20 pages left, all yellow and green. I've been working on Skip 17 piecemeal for about a week, so I'm still at the beginning.

At the moment, things are under control. Granted, it's a very thin and flimsy control, but still, I'm not worried. I haven't had to use my freakout icon, which is good. Early this week I had a massive energy shutdown, but I'm apparently mostly over it. Viz is changing some things before pages are sent to me, I'll share what's going on when I know more myself. If I'm lucky, the change will save me tons of time.

And I have discovered audiobooks!!! They are wonderful!! I can work and listen at the same simultaneously!! They've helped me complete so many pages by keeping my alert....I've listened to 7 books so far, and am half-way through my 8th. I listen for 3 to 7 hours a day, so I burn through them pretty fast. More on my newfound passion later, though.

As always, work calls. Minna, be well! *hugs*

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (Default)

Osu, minna! Meet my newest default icon. ^^V Me likey. Another self-portrait, of course.

It's been a while, so here's a shigoto update. ^^

That's it for now, minna. Time for me to get cracking on some extra Honey pages! Oh yes, and I decided my new keyboard is named Tsuwabuki. And I've already dropped him. But just once. ^^;;;

Whew!

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (thumbs up)

I'm very relieved to say that last night, I finished the final full-yellow page of Naruto 35. All that's left are the easy colors. Blue, Green, and yellow with green dot. Each page shouldn't take me more than 20 minutes to letter, and likely the average will be around 10. This is very very VERY good. And it means:

Step three to preserve my sanity: CHECK.

slr2moons: a self-portrait, of me in my usual habitat: in front of my computer monitors! (thumbs up)

Whew. ^^; Yesterday wasn't the best day ever--far from it, in fact--but I did accomplish one very very good thing: I finished all the orange and pink pages from Naruto 35. Thankfully the volume is quite light for fight scenes--particularly for Naruto--and now they are done and out of the way. *sigh of relief* Now I'm making a 2nd sweep through the book, this time working on the pure yellow pages. This will only leave yellow/green (dialogue and one or two simple FX), green (dialogue only) and blue (speck checks and page numbers) left. Step One to preserve insantiy: complete.

As a side note, the good thing about Naruto is that once I finish a volume, I don't have another one waiting in the sidelines to jump in. Okay, except for this time, since I still have the 2nd half of 38 left to finish. I've also noticed that the action in Naruto really has calmed down. My two worst books were 21 and 25. In the late 20s and 30s, there's a lot of plot going on. Not that I mind, I'd much rather letter read plot than fight scenes. ^^ Or maybe Naruto Editor is giving the action-heavy books to the regular Naruto letterer. If that's the case, let us hope he's kust trying to preserve my sanity as well. ^^

Sai is so cute in vol 35. He gets points for trying!!! Heeeee.

And now, something more fun! For quite some time I've wanted to start a page of fanfic recs, and I finally have. I started coding the page back in February, and have added random fics every few days or so. I've decided it's long enough to go up, so here is the link!

S2m's page of fanfic recs! Kyaaa!

It's not anywhere near complete, so don't freak out if a fic you thought for sure would be on there hasn't made it yet. I have two more I will include in a bit, namely Diplomatic Relations from Naruto, and my fave fic by star-chan. ^^ I stuck a counter on the page, so it will be interesting to see how many hits I get in the first week. Maybe 10??? *is being realistic*

That's it for now, minna. Work calls, as always!

When I'm silent, you know it means one thing: I'm exceedingly busy. ^^; I have about a week and a half left before lettering on Claymore 13 begins, which means life is about to get extremely interesting. Even more so when more New Title 3 arrives. Heh heh heh. O.o *trying not to panic*

Script for Naruto 35 is here, so I've stopped work on 38 except for pages that require extra artwork which will need many revisions and approvals. Best get that ball rolling early, right? *is drawing clothing on four different people for this one* Naruto Editor kindly gave me the extended deadlines I asked for on both volumes, which will hopefully help delay prevent the need for a 2nd freakout session. I'm trying to finish all the orange and pink pages in 35 now, before Clay and NT3 descend. Minna, wish me luck b/c I'm going to need it. *slightly frantic smile* I really don't want to think about having 6 simultaneous titles at once again, so let's talk about something more fun!! head in the sand head in the sand

Fanfic babblings yay!! XD )
Guess that's it for now. Work calls!! ^^V I'm using my new chibi L icon b/c it's uber-cute and now I see I need to fix the background. :P

"Her" in the subject being me!! Sorry I haven't been posting or reading my flist for the past several days. Lots of stuff seems to have happened while I was out, and I owe a good dollop of comments. Please forgive my silence! It was for a legitimate reason, I promise. V.V

It's been a real struggle to make the page quota every day and finish my prelettering, as well. Thankfully last night I finished the first chapter of New Title 3, and since I have no more script for it and won't for at least week with some luck, this means I can hopefully clear my Nana and Naruto backlogs before more script arrives. I'm relieved to say at least I've been very diligent about keeping up with the two very-tight-deadlines on Honey and Skip.

Anthy has been doing her best to seduce me away from work, but I've been able to resist until pre-lettering was finished. (This is why my LJing dropped. When I would normally LJ, I've been drawing instead. *guilty--but not too much--smile*) I do have fruits of my labor to share, but not juuuust yet. I'm roughing out a comedy doujinshi to celebrate Anthy's arrival, and I'm going to wait until the whole story is sketched out before I post it as a WIP.

As a quick shigoto update, Claymore 12 is completely finished and over YAY, Honey vol 7 is just under half-way lettered, Nana 14 is a fourth-lettered and full of fangirls, including one who reminds me of myself. Really! Only I'm not that elegant. O.o Naruto 38 is a third-lettered, New Title 3 I already mentioned, and Skip 15 is almost half-way done.

On a Skip note, this volume develops a new character we met in vol 14 who I find very intriguing, even if he is a bit of a bastard. It's fascinating to see someone that isn't afraid of the Grudge Kyokos, which is why he makes my ears prick. My my my....even if he DOES look like Nakago, who I've completely reviled for over 10 years. *shudders*

And now, work calls, as always. Though it's time for me to go outside and run. Eh he heheh.... --;;;;

(Another one of my new icons cuz it's purty.)
